7th Inning Stretch & Wellness

Let's Get Flexible!

7th Inning Stretch & Wellness is Aggie owned and operated by Joey Wylie and employs certified Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST™) Practitioners, the optimal assisted stretching professional. Practitioners are trained at the Stretch to Win Institute, complete over 100 hours of training before certification, and perform ongoing continuing education to maintain certification. Practitioners serve the Bryan/College Station areas and will come to your home or office with a treatment table and conduct a 60 minute one-on-one assisted stretch session.

FST is a comprehensive and logical system that is based on 10 principles that serves as a dependable treatment guide for manual stretch therapists. FST is composed of innovative choreography created by Ann and Chris Frederick, founders of Stretch to Win Institute. What makes this system unique is that it is active, not passive, for the client. It is a gentle and pain-free approach that requires both the client and therapist working together as a team to manipulate the connective tissue (or fascia) of the body, not just isolated muscles, to achieve optimal results. Unlike traditional stretching that attempts to isolate and stretch specific muscles, FST creates lasting change and dramatically improves your flexibility by decompressing your joints and unwinding the connective tissue, or fascia of your body.

FST has the capacity to treat the whole body. Sessions are performed on a treatment table equipped with straps that help stabilize parts of the body that aren’t being stretched. Clients typically wear loose-fitting or athletic clothing and clean socks for each stretch session. After assessment, practitioner follows a stretch sequence along multiple planes of movement which involves relaxation and breathing among both parties. The use of traction, circumduction, and oscillation are performed with varied tempos to enhance stretch awareness without any pain. At the close of the session, client will receive a home maintenance program to follow so that client becomes an active partner in their journey to improve their overall health and well-being.

Hi, I'm Joey Wylie and happy to be a part of WE! I'm from Texas and grew up in Grand Prairie. I have lived in Austin, Houston, Florida, and moved to College Station in 2001. I worked at the College of Medicine for 13 years and resigned in 2015. I have been a group fitness instructor for the last 16 years and now a small business owner. My husband and I have four children along with three cats, and one grand-dog. I love scary movies, birthday cake (any flavor), coffee (black with a little sugar in the a.m., lattes in the afternoon), scuba diving, travel, wine, boozy cocktails, spending time at the lake, handmade quilts, making greeting cards, and reading. My favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas.
